BLOOM COMPLEX

The bloom educational site of approximately 60,000 sq.m is comprised of two prestigious schools operating beginning September 2018 in addition to a state of the art shared facilities complex. The site design with its integration of internal and external spaces promotes for an optimum educational experience in the heart of Barsha South and is set to achieve zero-net utility at full phase.

Brighton college in a G+2 structure with an area of 20,000 sq.m and a capacity of 2000 students is one of the leading British curriculum schools in the country. While Dwight school in an adjacent G+2 building with an area of 20,000 sq.m and a capacity of 2000 students, is an IB/American curriculum school with its first branch in the region and worldwide reputation.

Each building is designed to reflect a different culture in accordance to the schools’ curriculum and heritage with the shared facilities complex standing as a unification element that bonds western to eastern culture. Brighton college building with curved lines and flowy articulation resembles the distinct hilly landscape of Britain whereas Dwight school demonstrates a modern yet elegant approach of architectural style.

Each campus offers a wide range of indoor and outdoor facilities including art rooms, science labs, multi-purpose hall and swimming pool along with a full-sized football pitch and multiple basketball courts.

The shared facilities complex with an approximate area of 10,000 sq.m is home to a 650-seater fully quipped auditorium, performing arts section, sports halls, workshops, art gallery and Arabic Culture Center. It also provides a football/rugby pitch, 400m running track, tennis and squash courts that serves both schools. The complex unique design which features Arabian Mashrabeyya pays homage to Islamic architecture with its emphasis on details and implementation of delicate geometric patterns.
